A brand new, fun, and content filled site meant to generate new business and educate customers.

BaxterSports offers fun, safe, and nurturing yet challenging sports camps and clinics in Portland, OR, aimed to inspire kids both mentally and physically.

The website was dated and not particularly UX friendly, although it was getting a decent amounted of branded searches, there really wasn’t much in terms of attracting potential sign ups for the business. Also, the navigation structured was fragmented and overall the content was lacking.

This project took a completely new approach to the website design, content was added around all of the core services, and a top to bottom local search strategy was implemented.

Project Details

Services: Web design, Email Marketing, Local SEO, Copywriting, Blogging

Technologies: WordPress, Google Analytics, Moz Pro, Search Console, Mailchimp, Hootsuite

Company Goals: Build a brand new website (first one hasn’t been updated in 6 years), bring in more organic traffic of searchers looking for services, and increase brand awareness through social channels.

Digital Marketing At It's Finest

The old BaxterSports site had a lot of heart. It had been maintained by the company’s owner for a few years now, and needed some work. Brian’s vision was to get a pro on board to fill in the gaps of where his business wasn’t doing so well (using inbound and social marketing to fill up camps) and create  new site that was worthy of his awesome brand.

The first step was to build out a comprehensive local search and content strategy. All new copy was developed for each of his core services and the content architecture was restructured in order to allow search engines to better understand what they do. Regular blog posting was also planned, along with email and social media marketing to get the word out about their camps, grow the brand’s reach, and build their relevance in the SERPs. We also needed to correct a good amount of their local business citations and build some strong and relevant links.

It’s safe to say, that with a new look, new and  valuable content, and a technically sound Google preferred overhaul, BaxterSports is entering into a new era.

A Good Lookin' Site For A Great Brand

Brian wanted a new site that not only looked awesome, but that could perform as well. Looks like we  did our job.
